Collaborative Robot UR7e

The UR7e collaborative robot is an enhanced version of the proven UR5e model. It’s an excellent choice for applications that require a lightweight, compact cobot with a reach 200 mm longer than the average human arm and a payload capacity of 7 kg — enabling precise and accurate task execution. Its compact design, high precision, and ease of integration make it an ideal tool for learning and experimentation in technical university laboratories.

Along with the UR7e robot arm, we supply a control box, a control panel (teach pendant, optionally with 3PE), a power cable, a cable connecting the arm to the control box, and full technical documentation.

The UR7e collaborative robot is a modern educational solution that combines a compact design with high precision and a wide range of applications in technical education.

  • Easy integration: thanks to its compact size and low weight, the UR7e can be easily installed in existing laboratory workstations. Its compact design makes it suitable for laboratories with limited space. In addition, the robot can be mounted in any orientation, which makes it easier to design new research setups and integrate the robot into existing laboratory stations.
  • High precision: the robot is well suited for tasks that require high accuracy, such as assembly, testing, or handling delicate components. A pose repeatability of ±0.03 mm according to ISO 9283 makes it possible to carry out laboratory exercises and research that require precise and repeatable movements.
  • Versatility: compatibility with a wide range of accessories and tools makes it possible to adapt the robot to different educational applications.

For beginners and advanced users

The robot is programmed using the PolyScope environment available through a 12-inch touchscreen teach pendant. At the same time, the UR7e can also be used in more advanced programming and research projects thanks to its integration capabilities with ROS and ROS 2.

Integrated force and torque measurement

The UR7e is equipped with a 6-axis force/torque sensor in the tool flange, which measures forces along the X, Y, and Z axes as well as torque around these axes. This makes the robot a suitable platform for laboratory classes and projects related to force control, contact detection, and human-robot interaction.

Safety in the laboratory

The UR7e offers 21 configurable safety functions and solutions compliant with requirements including EN ISO 13849-1 (PLd, Category 3) and EN ISO 10218-1.

The ability to configure safety parameters makes it possible to adapt the workstation to the type of laboratory exercise and the robot operating scenario. The final workstation configuration and the need for additional protective measures should always be determined based on a risk assessment for the specific application.

Thanks to these features, the UR7e is well suited for both teaching and advanced research projects. You can also explore haptic controllers to further expand the capabilities of the laboratory workstation.
