The Siemens SIMATIC S7-1200 G2 training set is a complete set of PLC controllers and software designed for practical PLC programming education at universities of technology. It uses STEP 7 Professional and WinCC Advanced/Unified software, enabling laboratory classes based on technologies used in industrial automation.
The training set is intended for exercises covering PLC systems, automation programming, and process visualization. Combined with TIA Portal, it allows students to work through the entire process – from hardware configuration and control program development, through commissioning and diagnostics, to the preparation of an operator interface.

We recommend mounting the PLCs on our Basic PLC Training Workstation and using them together with actuator components.

The training set includes, among other components, SIMATIC S7-1200 G2 1214C CPU, SM 1233 AI/AQ analog module, Industrial Ethernet cable, and STEP 7 Professional and WinCC Advanced/Unified software intended for training applications.
Does the training set include an HMI operator panel?
No. The set includes WinCC Advanced/Unified software, which allows students to perform exercises related to process visualization and operator interfaces, but a physical HMI panel is not included in the set.
Can the set be used to teach PLC programming in TIA Portal?
Yes. When working with TIA Portal, students can monitor the PLC program and signals and use diagnostic functions to analyze application operation. The S7-1200 G2 also provides diagnostic functions available through the TIA Portal environment.
Does the training set allow students to create HMI visualizations?
Yes. The package includes WinCC Advanced/Unified software, which can be used for exercises involving process visualization and the creation of operator interfaces.
