FMS Intralogistics Training Station

Modułowe stanowisko do nauki intralogistyki

Intralogistics Training Station

A modular intralogistics training station designed to help students learn warehouse automation and internal transport processes. Each module can operate independently or be integrated into a single system.

The software is easy to use, and all scenarios are ready to run without any additional programming or setup. Every learning scenario has been developed in collaboration with industry experts to reflect real-world applications.

At the same time, the platform supports skill development in automation, including PLC programming and device integration.

ComponentFunctionality
ST10 — Dispatch & Identification
Two gravity-fed storage bins, two belt conveyors, RFID readers, and a detection gate that differentiates part types.
Initiation of training scenarios by dispatching and sorting items for further processing.

Used to practice identification (RFID/sensors) and routing logic.
ST20 — Surface Storage
Cartesian manipulator that picks and places items on a flat storage area or onto conveyors.
Exercises in programming X, Y and Z axes and in managing storage operations in surface-level storage systems.
ST30 — Collaborative Robot
UR5 cobot equipped with an RG2 gripper.
Picking and placing goods onto a mobile platform (pallet) or any designated location in the system.
Observe and train palletizing/depaletizing applications and learn programming of collaborative robots.
ST40 — High-bay Warehouse
Three-axis stacker crane (X, Y and a pneumatic Z axis with gripper) plus a transfer manipulator linking this station to the rest of the system.
Automatic storage in 20 available locations and demonstration of AS/RS solutions.
Ideal for practicing automated high-bay storage and transfer integration.

Educational capabilities and sample learning scenarios:

Flow analysis and route planning

Learn how to recognize items (RFID, sensors) and direct them—e.g., by color or material type—to the appropriate station.

Understand how goods are received, identified, and routed within an intralogistics system.

Storage and AS/RS systems (FIFO, LIFO, HIFO)

Observe and compare different inventory management strategies and assess their impact on operational efficiency.

Gain hands-on experience with high-bay warehouses and stacker cranes to optimize storage space. Learn various goods-issuing methods: FIFO, LIFO, and HIFO.

Collaborative robotics and palletizing

Develop skills in improving palletizing and depalletizing processes, as well as integrating cobots into intralogistics systems.

RFID applications

Identify and record product attributes (e.g., “product category”), control the flow of goods based on stored data, and track each stage of movement throughout the system.

Time and performance analysis

Observe and analyze warehouse operation times across different scenarios to evaluate and optimize processes.

Build skills in improving transport between stations by coordinating conveyor lines and manipulators and simulating complete intralogistics routes.
